賽 41:10
恐懼是人類共有的；如果它不是起源於對罪的意識，也會因罪的意識而增加。經文指出了基督徒不應恐懼的三個理由。
I. 神的同在。 「我與你同在。」大能、智慧且慈愛。
II. 神的關係。 「我是你的神。」這些話在我們這方面意味著敬畏、順服和降服；在祂那方面意味著守護和祝福。我們自然會特別照顧屬於我們自己的東西。
III. 神的應許。
1. 「我必堅固你」——堅固你的心以抵禦試煉和苦難。
2. 「我必幫助你」——給你個人的援助；指引、保護、與你並肩作戰並為你而戰。
3. 「我必扶持你。」
「我公義的右手」——我信實的右手；即一隻可以信賴的手。
右手通常用於工作。
右手在友誼中伸出。
右手放在我們想要尊榮的人身上。
